Shop Work - power squaring shears, power roll forming machines, safety, taps and drills, power press brakes and dies, using press brakes.
Blueprint Reading, Sheet Metal Drafting & Sketching - isometric drawings, oblique drawings, symbols, parts of a blueprint, details of sections, duct systems, Architectural Sheet Metal.
Welding - equipment, use and care of.
Field Installation - hanging ducts, hanging units, sealing joints – high and medium pressure ducts, electric tools on the job, hanging gutter, boiler breaching, stacks, lagging.
Safety - electrical safety, first aid review, respiratory hazards, explosion hazards, noise pollution.
Materials - air filters, grease filters and traps, stainless steel, aluminum.
Blowpipe - blowpipe joints and seams, blowpipe design, blowpipe fittings, fans and blowers.
Architectural Sheet Metal - roofing, canopies, metal covered doors.
Residential Heating & Air Conditioning - typical residential duct, typical warm air furnace installations.
Service Work - fundamentals of air movement in ducts, trouble shooting warm air furnaces, customer relations.
